5 Faith-Based Inspirational Quotes For July

Hello lovely reader,

For this month, I have compiled a set of five quotes, taken from saints and other influential religious figures, that will hopefully provide you with as much love and encouragement in your life like it has for me.

“Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” – Saint Pio of Petrelcina

This quote instills a calm deep in my heart that no matter what I am going through in life, through prayer, all my worries can be relieved.

“What you are is God’s gift to you, what you become is your gift to God.” – Hans Mrs von Balthasar

How powerful those words seem to me in times when I feel as if I am a waste of space! However, every human is precious, because God created us each for a reason. If we become the people He desires and asks us to be, we become the greatest gift to Him. I remember this quote daily, in order to continually remind myself to strive for the path the God has placed before me.

“Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” – Saint Francis of Assisi

Everybody needs to be reminded that the impossible is truly possible and through God, anything can happen.

” Dont say: ‘ That person gets on my nerves,’ think: ‘That person sanctifies me.’ ” – Saint Josemaria Escriva

Every time we enact the values that God asks us to have, we are collecting mercies and blessings from Him. Therefore, each person that brings out negative emotions in us, brings a chance to achieve sanctification through Christ.

“O soul steeped in darkness, Do not despair. All is not yet lost. Come and confide in your God, who is love and mercy.”  – Saint Faustina

I wanted to end this quote list with a quote that truly gives encouragement and releases love to all those who are suffering. ‘Do not despair’! Confide in God and you will feel His love and mercy.

  1. Those were great quotes! I’m a huge fan of Escriva. There are books on just his quotes, even an app on just one of his quotes to read daily! Ok I’ve got some good ones! My favorite person (deceased) that I truly feel should be a saint and is on his way, is Fulton J. Sheen. I’ll give you a few of his quotes that I can read over and over and never get tired.

“Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?” – Fulton Sheen

This one above is my favorite. It calls to me every time I feel I’ve suffered just way too much and need to stop thinking about myself.

“Life is like a cash register, in that every account, every thought, every deed, like every sale, is registered and recorded.” – Fulton Sheen

This one reminds me that what we do and, don’t do, is extremely important, in our life and the lives of others we are in contact with.

“Each of us makes his own weather, determines the color of the skies in the emotional universe which he inhabits.” – Fulton Sheen

You’re not going to get a more beautifully written quote than this are you? When I read it, I see pictures of rainbows in the black starry universe, residing in my soul.

“Hearing nuns’ confessions is like being stoned to death with popcorn.” – Fulton Sheen

This one is pretty much my favorite all time quote. My laugh bubbles over without control every time I read it, even if I read it several times in the same minute. I can’t get enough.

    Hope these were good!

    1. Great quotes! I have recently discovered Fulton Sheen through some recommendations by people from my church. I have found him to be extremely inspirational and I love how he is strict with the faith, yet keeps a humorous tone. I especially love the one about the nuns and the popcorn!
